The law of attraction

I do not attract who I want to be, but who I am becoming.

As a pastor's wife assimilating to a new church, I am very aware of the law of attraction. I strongly believe that God wants us to build relationships in our lives. We were created for fellowship. Genesis tells us it is not good for man to be alone. How much more so for a woman, who was created to MEET man's need for fellowship.

Bear ye one anothers burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2. One of my daily prayers is that God will raise up a team of women around me that are real and personal. It is time we get beyond the facade of we we 'think' we should be and acknowledge the awesome women we are! Each of us has struggles and burdens, but as iron sharpens iron, so one man shineth the countenance of another.

I want to sharpen others. I want and need a group of women that believe in who I am in Christ and want to see me get to where God is taking me. I desire to watch and be a part of the growth in their lives. God is so awesome! I am thanking Him for the women he has and is placing in my life right now! May we be a sweet aroma to others to attract them to Him!

I went with my son recently to see a production of Joseph and the Amazing Coat at a local community college. As I sat in the dark theater and watched the young men in the production, one of the lessons in the first part of the story hit me fresh and clear. Joseph told his dream to the wrong people at the wrong time. In his naivity, he thought his brothers would rejoice with him when he shared his dreams with them. A Cry for our Prodigals

  When we see those that we love wandering into the path of destruction, we want so badly to stop them. We want to grab them, shake them, wake them up. But God has given each of His children a free will. He is watching. He is interceding. He won’t leave us alone in our worry.   He offers each of us the peace of God in the middle of each mess. He knows the helplessness we feel. Only the Holy Spirit can give us the peace that passes understanding.   Holy Spirit, move today. Come and fill each parent who is suffering for their wayward child.
