Faithful

Proverbs 25:19  "Like a bad tooth or a lame foot is reliance on the unfaithful in times of trouble." We waste so much time and energy on the unfaithful.  I know as a pastor's wife I have been guilty of seeing the empty pews rather than the faces of those that fill the others!  Why is that so easy to do? God has really been working on me in this area.  This past Sunday we had a fellowship and luncheon after church.  Because of this, several of my regulars were not in Sunday school... to be totally honest since all of them also work in the church in different areas, most Sundays someone is missing. The past 2 weeks though I have seen a one on one breakthrough in my 'small group support environment'.  I have left Sunday school actually excited about the raw emotions and interactions that had gone on.  So as God does a new thing there, He is also doing a new thing in me.  Teaching me to look at the individual and not the group. I am learning in my life not

Weak Willed Women!

1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. 6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7) There is such a debate in the christian community on the subject of women and their role in the church. It is amusing to me that alot of this debate comes from women themselves.
